Station Info
WPHL-TV - now known as myphl17 - celebrated its 40th anniversary this year. The station signed on the air September 17,
1965, founded by a group of local businessmen and investors who sold it
two years later to AVC Corporation. In July 1975, the station moved from
its original studios in Wyndmoor to Philadelphia's Wynnefield section,
where it has remained ever since. The station will become an affiliate of MyNetworkTV on September 5, 2006.
